THE WORK BEHIND THE PROMISE

One basic landing page became a home for a much larger mission.

CGN began with a simple page linking to other services. Over several years, Aaron developed its brand and messaging, flagship nonprofit website and 10+ websites across the wider ecosystem.

The work connected the organization’s public presence with resource discovery, event publishing and ministry initiatives.

“Aaron was, without a doubt, the best hiring decision made in the history of our organization. One of my favorite people to work with. He gets stuff done.”
Kellen Criswell · Former Executive Director, Calvary Global Network · On Aaron’s work at CGN

WHAT’S GETTING IN THE WAY

The vision makes sense in the room. Online, people see fragments.

You can explain how the initiatives fit together. A potential partner or supporter sees a few links and has to piece the story together alone.

As the organization grows, each new launch can reopen the same questions about identity, content and ownership. Leadership needs someone to hold the whole picture.

WHAT CAN CHANGE

Give each initiative a place in a coherent whole.

  • A flagship that explains the mission: Help people understand the organization and find the work relevant to them.
  • Related sites with purpose: Give initiatives their own identities while making their relationship to the wider organization clear.
  • A realistic sequence: Define phases, ownership and investment so the next launch supports the larger direction.

HOW HELMSMAN WORKS

Give a growing organization one direction without making every initiative identical.

The work starts with leadership priorities, moves through coordinated ownership, and ends with each part of the ecosystem having someone who knows how to run it.

01

Start with the team.

Understand the mission, the initiatives, the audiences, the internal owners, and what leadership needs the wider digital presence to accomplish.

02

Lead the project.

Coordinate stakeholders, shared decisions, brand relationships, phases, vendors, and dependencies so the ecosystem develops as one intentional program.

03

Build the right solution.

Create the flagship and related digital properties in the right sequence, giving each initiative what it needs without losing the shared direction.

04

Equip the team.

Clarify ownership across the ecosystem, document the important systems, and train the people responsible for keeping each property useful after launch.

BEFORE WE BEGIN

Start with the priorities your leadership can act on.

Do we need to build everything at once?

No. A paid Roadmap can establish the priorities and sequence before implementation is scoped in phases.

Must every initiative look the same?

No. Related initiatives can have distinct identities and audiences while belonging to a coherent organization.

What does our team need to provide?

Leadership participation, an empowered point person and access to the information each agreed phase needs. We establish responsibilities before delivery begins.

LET’S FIND THE RIGHT NEXT STEP
